Courtney Cooperman is an MA candidate in Philosophy & Social Policy at George Washington University. She holds a BA in Political Science with interdisciplinary honors in Ethics in Society from Stanford University. Her honors thesis explores the relationship between homelessness and political equality, and how homelessness acts as a source of disenfranchisement. Courtney is a project manager at the National Low Income Housing Coalition. She leads the organization’s nonpartisan Our Homes, Our Votes campaign, which aims to boost voter turnout among low-income renters and elevate housing as an election issue. Courtney previously worked as a Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.
