Zoe Williams

Zoe is Acting Co-Director at Institute for AI Policy and Strategy (IAPS), which conducts research to understand and mitigate risks from advanced AI development and deployment. She has particular interest in evaluation development, risk and response frameworks, and international governance of AI.

Prior to joining IAPS, she managed analytics and product teams in the tech industry. Her larger projects included heading up a natural language processing R&D effort spanning 4 continents and 13 teams, and modernizing the analytics practice of New Zealand’s largest online marketplace.

She holds a BSc in Statistics and Psychology from University of Canterbury.
