Stephen Jacobs
Stephen Jacobs is a Professor in the School of Interactive Games and Media at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and directs the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation funded Open@RIT. He was trained as an American Sign Language interpreter in 1983 and worked for the New York City Department of Education, New York’s Shakespeare Theater, the Clearwater Revival Festival, Paramount Pictures’ Children of a Lesser God and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at RIT before becoming computing faculty for RIT. He has collaborated on research with NTID professors throughout his academic career.
