Christopher Maximos is an AI Safety Policy Entrepreneurship Fellow, interested in local and state approaches to AI governance, capacity-building, and risk mitigation. Beyond his work at FAS, he serves as writer and research assistant to the Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School.
Christopher’s interest in emerging technologies is borne out of his experience in roles across local, state, and federal government. He previously coordinated public engagement for NTIA’s Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund, supported New Jersey’s COVID-19 digital response as part of the state’s Office of Innovation, and advised on childcare and transportation policy for the San Jose Mayor’s Office of Technology and Innovation.
Before entering government, Christopher conducted research at the Stanford University Cyber Policy Center and the Screenomics Lab. He graduated with distinction from Stanford University, where he chaired Stanford in Government.
