Brent Minchew
Brent Minchew, a Texas native and former Marine who served with the Presidential Helicopter Squadron (HMX-1) and deployed with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit before transitioning to academia. He holds degrees in Aerospace Engineering (BS, MS) from the University of Texas at Austin and a PhD in Geophysics from the California Institute of Technology. Now an Associate Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Chief Scientist of Arête Glacier Initiative, Brent studies glacier dynamics to forecast and mitigate sea-level rise.
