Addy Smith is an Associate with the Technology & Innovation team, working specifically on climate and clean energy projects. Before FAS, Addy helped state DOTs deploy innovative clean energy projects with The Ray and has also conducted research into the community engagement opportunities of large-scale carbon removal projects. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
If FESI is going to continue to receive Congressional appropriations through DOE, it should be structured from the start in a way that allows it to be as effective as possible while it receives both taxpayer dollars and private support.
