It’s time for a new conversation about the convergence of artificial intelligence and global risk.

For more than a year, the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) has worked with the support and partnership of the Future of Life Institute (FLI) to elevate discussions about the intersection of AI and the various risk domains: nuclear and biological weapons, cybersecurity, military integration, and artificial general intelligence (AGI).

These discussions have surfaced new ways the public, private and philanthropic sectors can jointly advance risk reduction, at scale, catalyzing responsible approaches to AI development and governance.

Organized by the Federation of American Scientists in partnership with the Future of Life Institute, the Hill Forum will feature a series of panel discussions designed to share policy insights on the AI × Global Risk nexus. This discussion will take place under the Chatham House Rule.

Please register by Friday, May 1st. We have limited space, so please register soon to secure your spot. Please note you must register for the Hill Forum and Gala separately. Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation.

The AI x Global Risk Nexus Project assesses the risks associated with integrating and Artificial Intelligence into existing areas of global risk, including nuclear and biological weapons, cyber warfare, lethal autonomy and other areas. This interdisciplinary project provides policymakers with the most updated information on AI and risk and seeks to identify practical ways to reduce or mitigate those risks.
