Willy Chertman
Willy Chertman, M.D., is a Biotechnology Fellow at Institute for Progress and an Adjunct Fellow at the Manhattan Institute. He was formerly a Biosecurity Fellow in the office of Senator Todd Young (R-IN).
Before working in Congress, he completed his intern year in internal medicine at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Chertman also worked at the genetics and reproductive medicine startup Orchid, and advocated for vaccine development with 1Day Sooner.
Chertman holds an M.D. and M.S. in Genomic Medicine from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and received his B.S. in Biology and Political Science from the University of Miami. He is a licensed physician in Florida.
