Shiro Wachira is a graduating master’s student in the International Policy Program at Stanford University and an inaugural innovation fellow for Unlock Aid where she supports a range of research and advocacy initiatives. Prior to Stanford, she worked for leading nonprofits, GiveDirectly, and One Acre Fund, based out of Nairobi. Shiro holds an AB in philosophy from the University of Chicago, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received the Perry Herst Award honoring outstanding community service contributions.
