Sara brings over 15 years of public sector leadership experience, specializing in the implementation of large-scale, cross-sector initiatives. Most recently, she served as the founding Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer of the CHIPS Program Office at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she helped build and scale a $39 billion initiative to strengthen domestic semiconductor manufacturing.
Prior to CHIPS, Sara held senior leadership roles spanning education, housing, and disaster recovery, including as Deputy Superintendent of the DC State Education Agency and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Federal Housing Administration. She also led the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force’s Program Management Office, work that earned her a Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal.
Sara is known for her ability to navigate complex technical, policy, legal, and operational landscapes, learn new domains, and bring the right people and systems together to deliver results. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
