Gene Kimmelman
Gene Kimmelman currently serves as Senior Advisor to Public Knowledge, after running the organization since 2014. He previously served as Chief Counsel for Competition Policy and Intergovernmental Relations in the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice during the first term of the Obama Administration. He also served as Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the Senate Antitrust Subcommittee during the early 1990s and then went on to lead public policy work for Consumer Reports for 14 years. He is a graduate of Brown University and received his JD from the University of Virginia. He received a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Copenhagen.
