Erik Hembre, PhD, is an Economist interested in studying housing, public finance, and the social safety net and has published research on topics such as homeownership, mortgage default, housing tax benefits, and housing quality. He received his PhD in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his BA from Saint Olaf College. Erik currently works at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis after working in the Economics department of the University of Illinois-Chicago from 2014-2023.
