Rachel Arnow-Richman is the Gerald A. Rosenthal Chair in Labor & Employment Law. Prior to joining the University of Florida faculty, Professor Arnow-Richman was the Chauncy Wilson Memorial Research Professor and Director of the Workplace Law Program at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Professor Arnow-Richman teaches and publishes in the areas of employment law and contracts. She is known for her work on the #MeToo movement and firm incentives in responding high-level harassment, as well as a series of articles proposing mandatory advance notice and severance pay for terminated employees. Professor Arnow-Richman holds a B.A. from Rutgers University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an L.L.M. in legal education from Temple University. She is a past Chair of the American Associate of Law Schools Section on Labor & Employment and the current Chair of the Section on Contracts and Commercial Law. Professor Arnow-Richman is a frequent consultant on legislative reform of employee noncompetition law and recently served on the Uniform Law Commission’s drafting committee on restrictive employment agreements.
