Thomas Young is a long-time adviser and economics consultant. He is a Senior Economist with the Common Sense Policy Institute, a non-partisan economics think tank in Greenwood Village focusing on public and economic policy. He has a Ph.D. in business economics with fields in Finance (School of Business), Industrial Organization (antitrust economics/competition economics), and Econometrics (statistical modeling). He is an eclectic economist, having worked in numerous fields, including government budgeting and oversight for agency budgets, economic forecasting, economic impact modeling, economic development, transportation finance, public education and higher education finance, healthcare modeling, sports economics, appraising, static and dynamic fiscal note estimating, and survey research, to name a few. He enjoys being involved in important issues in the state.
