Vonetta Dotson is the Healthy Aging Impact Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology with a Clinical Neuropsychology concentration and certificate in Gerontology at the University of Florida. A Professor of Psychology and Gerontology at Georgia State University, she conducts translational research on positive and negative modifiers of brain health in older adults. Her startup, CerebroFit, provides services to empower people in the community to live a brain-healthy lifestyle.
Programs across the federal government are working to increase American health by making physical activity safer and more accessible, but most Americans still fail to get enough physical exercise, which has social and economic consequences.
