Katarina Watney is an Impact Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists where she works on biosecurity policy. Katarina previously worked as government contractor where she designed, implemented, and oversaw biosecurity and nuclear threat reduction activities for the Department of Defense, Department of State, and other international funders. She earned her Masters in Public Health from the University of Virginia.

To protect against future infectious disease outbreaks, the Department of Health and Human Services Coordination Operations and Response Element should develop and maintain the capacity to regularly deliver N95 respirator masks to every home using a mail delivery system.
