Mahmoud Abouelnaga is a Federal Energy Management Impact Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP). His work focuses on developing innovative approaches to help Federal offices achieve their critical missions and climate targets through decarbonization, electrification, efficiency, and resilient energy and water systems. Prior to joining FEMP, he led the carbon management portfolio at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). He holds three Masters degrees in International Development and Policy (energy and environment focus) from University of Chicago, Sustainable Energy Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and Environmental Management from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.
