Jay Palat is a distinguished AI researcher and practitioner who contributed seminal work to AI Engineering during his tenure as Technical Director at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. With over two decades of experience spanning healthcare, defense, and enterprise AI applications, he has led the development of production-ready AI systems that transform complex technical challenges into scalable solutions. Currently serving as Head of AI/ML at mpathic, he continues to advance the field through practical applications of transformer-based architectures and MLOps methodologies. His published research includes work on comprehensive AI system evaluation methodologies, and he holds a patent in automated system optimization.
