Mr. Søren Elbech, a dual citizen of the United States of America and Denmark, was elected to FAS’ Board effective November 2024.
Since September 2023, Søren has been Chief Risk Officer of Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Previously, he was the Managing Director and Global Head of Supranational Institutions at J.P. Morgan in New York from 2019 to 2023; the first Director General/Treasurer of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Beijing, China, from 2016 to 2019; Senior Vice President of Vestas Wind from 2014 to 2016, and IADB Treasurer from 2007 to 2014.
From 2014 to 2022, Søren served as a Board Member to the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW). Søren holds an Executive MBA from the ESCP Business School in Paris, France, and an Executive MBA from the BI Norwegian School of Management in Oslo, Norway.
