Kaltrina Jacimi is the Partnerships Manager for the Federation of American Scientists’s Fiscal Sponsorship Program. Over the last decade through grant management and advocacy, she oversaw U.S. government funded projects designed to reinforce democratic institutions across the globe. Most recently, Kaltrina managed security sector capacity-building in fragile states at the Strategic Capacity Group. She also served as Senior Program Officer for Europe at the National Endowment for Democracy from 2018-2023. Kaltrina has a research and policy background on surveillance technologies’s impact on democracy and digital rights, and she holds an MA in Security Studies from Kansas State University. Kaltrina is a Fulbright Scholar, with a passion for promoting inclusive governance and technological innovation.
