AN/ULQ-26 COUNTERMEASURES SET

The ULQ-26 was initially developed to replace the Basic ECM Environment Source land-based simulator. The ULQ-26 can be used in land-based, laboratory, and internal airborne applications. It uses ULQ-21 countermeasures set modules for a compact design that is portable and easily reconfigurable. With the various configurations and parameters available, the ULQ-26 is capable of providing a majority of the techniques specified in ERAM increments 1, 2, and 3. The ULQ-26 has several configurations. The standard ULQ-26 configuration for the E/F-band contains a WCO, an MTDA, and an E/F-band DRFM. The ULQ-26 is designed to cover multiple ECM variations which include noise jamming, deception techniques, and deception with special modulation techniques.

ULQ-26 Countermeasures Set

The AN/ULQ-26(V) (ULQ-26) Countermeasures Set is designed to provide a simulated ECM environment for surface combat systems. The ULQ-26 is comprised of components developed for the AN/ULQ-21(V) (ULQ-21) surface weapons systems expansion kit, referred to as the ULQ-21(S). The ULQ-21(S) was developed as a result of combining the technique capabilities of the ULQ-21 CM set with the TREE series system capabilities. The ULQ-26 is comprised of the WCO with TVCO???,MTDA???, MM (E/F-Band)???, and TWTA???. The ULQ-26 components are microprocessor controlled. The compact design of the components allows for a threat simulation package that is portable and easily reconfigurable.

ULQ-26 Example

The ULQ-26 has standard E/F-Band configurations. Each standard configuration is designed to cover a multiple of ECM variations which include noise jamming, deception techniques, deception with special modulation techniques, and false target generation. Using the various configurations and parameter options, the ULQ-26 is capable of providing a majority of the techniques specified in the Electronic Counter-Countermeasures Requirements and Assessment Manual (ERAM) increments 1, 2, and 3.
