AN/GSG-5 BIRDIE
BIRDIE command and control systems were installed at Army Air Defense Command Posts to ensure a coordinated defense against attacking aircraft. Smaller defense areas with fewer Nike-Ajax batteries received this Battery Integration and Radar Display Equipment "BIRDIE" (AN/GSG-5).
