XM1091 Fuel/Water Tanker

The XM1091 Fuel/Water Tanker is designed to transport fuel or water to support the soldiers on the battlefield. The M1091 is constructed of stainless steel with internal baffles and can transport 1500 gallons. It is a self contained unit, housing the pump and control module, hoses, reels and dispensing nozzles, metering instruments, fuel level indicator, filters, and a sampling probe used with the aqua-glow water sampling kit. The pump can dispense 20 -100 gallons per minute with deadman controller that halts dispensing to prevent accidental spillage. The vehicle is still in the developmental phase.

Reloading from all U.S. Army fuel-dispensing systems including bottom loading @ 600 GPM
Self-loading capability @ 200 GPM
Pumping FMTV standard is automatic, operator preset flow rate in 10-GPM increments (20-100 GPM) per hose with deadman controller
Fuel flow is metered, filtered or unfiltered with a flow control valve from a PTO-driven 200-GPM pump
Alternate (backup) pumping is from a 24 VDC, motor-driven, 25 GPM pump
Hoses and Reels 2 each, 1 1/2" dia., 50-foot long fuel-dispensing hoses on air-powered self-rewinding reels
Hose ends are 2", self-sealing, quick disconnect
Static ground reels with 40-foot grounding cables and a 10-foot "Y" branch at the end with alligator end connections electrically bonded to the vehicle chassis frame
Metering A meter is provided for each fuel-servicing hose to indicate fuel dispensed, with one indicating through each hose.  A total fuel dispensing meter is also included.  Meters provide 1-gallon increment fuel measurement
Pump and Control Module Rear-mounted pump controls are readily accessible/visible under all operating conditions.  Includes both an automatic control shut-off valve when control door is closed and an emergency control cable, which melts and automatically closes in case of fire.  An emergency fuel shut-off control is positioned near the cab on both the dirver's and second passenger's side
