All Terrain Lifter, Army System (ATLAS)

The All Terrain Lifter, Army System (ATLAS) is a 10,000 lb. capacity, variable reach, rough terrain forklift. It has a top speed of 23 M.P.H. and cross country mobility equal to the 6,000 lb. capacity variable reach rough terrain forklift. The lift capacity of this machine is 4,000 lbs. at 21.5 feet; 6,000 lbs. at 13 feet; and 10,000 lbs. at 4 feet. It is intended to perform the same type of cargo handling operations as the present 10K capacity forklifts under SSN M488. The ATLAS replaces all NSNs currently listed under SSN M488 and will displace existing 10K rough terrain forklifts in newly fielded units that currently have the older machines.

The ATLAS is currently on contract from TRAK.
