CN-235-100 MPA (Maritime Patrol Aircraft)

The CN-235-100 aircraft is twin turboprop powered and pressurized. It has high cantilever wings and retractable landing gears. Its great versatility includes the capability for quick conversion into numerous configurations, remarkably enhanced by virtue of a rear loading ramp and door. The aircraft is certified under FAR Part 25 and Part 36. The CN-235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) is an optimum combination of an advanced multi purpose platform, featuring: medium range capability, larga cabin space, state of the art, sophisticated and fully integrated mission avionics systems. This advanced MPA platform offers an efficient, cost effective means of detecting, locating, classifying, identifying, and recording targets to satisfy multi-mission, such as: With it's presurrized cabin and powered by two General Electric CT7-9C engines, the MPA version has an endurance of greater than 8 hours, with Maximum Take-off Weight (MTOW) of 16,000 kg. That's significant accomplishment.

PT. Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara (IPTN) in Indonesia was officially founded on August 23, 1976 proceeding the mandate given by HE. President Soeharto to Prof. Dr.-Ing. B. J. Habibie on January 28, 1974. Under Dr. Habibie's leadership, IPTN provided a technological capability as one of the nine vehicles for the transformation of Industries. IPTN's facilities are located in Bandung, about 180 km south east of Jakarta, Indonesia. The company also has production plants in Tasikmalaya and Batu Poron. The goals of national development and the global market business opportunities challenge IPTN to promote the advanced technology in air transportation system. Based on that reason the ultimate aim of IPTN is to become a center of excellence in aerospace, mainly in producing regional commuter airplanes with a seating of 20 to 130 passenger.
