Tactical Terminal Control System (TTCS)

The Army Tactical Terminal Control System (TTCS) is a mobile self-contained modular Air Traffic Control (ATC) communication system capable of rapid deployment. The TTCS provides air traffic services at remote landing zones, drop zones, pick-up zones, and temporary helicopter operating areas. It will provide the capability for ground and air communications between an ATS unit and Army aircraft, other services aircraft, and allied aircraft. It consists of communication equipment rack mounted in a M998 HMMWV. The communications component of TTCS is an AN/GRC-206 (V4). The primary power source is the MEP-802A diesel generator. It can also be converted to a portable battery powered manpack system.
