MAU-12 Ejector Rack

The MAU-12 Ejector Rack Assembly is designed to suspend on aircraft and eject conventional or nuclear stores, and external fuel tanks. The bomb rack uses electrically fired impulse cartridges and a gas operated mechanism. The rack is equipped with two sets of shackles, one set spaced 14 inches apart and one set spaced at 30 inches. The unit is 32 inches long, 6.25 inches high, and 3 inches wide. The width is 11.25 inches including the swaybraces. The unit weighs 69 pounds.

Two MAU-12 outboard underwing pylons were mounted on the McDonnell F-4 Phantom II, which could each carry 370 US-gallon fuel tanks. The F-16 has nine hardpoints, with ordnance is launched from Raytheon LAU-88 launchers, MAU-12 and Orgen bomb ejector racks. The Danish pylon integrated dispenser system [PIDS 3] is a weapons pylon for the F-16 similar to a MAU-12. The MAU-12 is used on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. The MAU-12 bomb racks and SUU-67/A pylons are used on the B-52 aircraft.
