Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS)

The Army's Air Traffic Navigation, Integration, and Coordination System (ATNAVICS) will replace the AN/TSQ-71B Landing Control Central. The ATNAVICS is a HMMWV mounted, survivable radar system that will provide continuous near all weather landing/ precision assistance and departure recovery capability at Army tactical airfields and landing areas. It will also provide area surveillance and aircraft identification capability for a minimum of a 25 mile radius at all sites where employed. The system consists of 3 integrated radars: area surveillance radar, precision approach radar, and secondary surveillance radar. The fixed base precision approach radar is being combined with ATNAVICS for commonality and standardization.
