AN/ALQ-125 Tactical Electronic Reconnaissance (TEREC)

The AN/ALQ-125 Tactical Electronic Reconnaissance (TEREC) system provided precision direction finding, passive ranging, and emitter threat identification for the Air Force RF-4C aircraft. TEREC provides on board threat displays, data recording, and a real-time data link to ground processors for tactical ELINT use. The system has a narrowband superheterodyne receiver architecture with two side looking precision interferometer arrays which are installed in place of the SAR radar apertures. Fifty-six systems were produced between 1975 to 1986.
