1.  MISSION. TO PROVIDE AIR MOVEMENT OF PERSONNEL AND
EQUIPMENT FOR COMBAT SUPPORT AND COMBAT SERVICE
SUPPORT OF CORPS AVIATION BRIGADE OPERATIONS.

2.  ASSIGNMENT.  ORGANIC TO THE CORPS AVIATION GROUP,
TOE 01410A.

3.  CAPABILITIES.

    A.  AT LEVEL 1 THIS UNIT PROVIDES:

        (1)  AERIAL TRANSPORT OF TROOPS, SUPPLIES, AND
EQUIPMENT IN THE CORPS AREA OF OPERATIONS.

        (2)  AUGMENTATION OF CORPS AIR AMBULANCE
RESOURCES WHEN REQUESTED BY MEDICAL AUTHORITIES.

        (3)  INSTRUCTOR PILOT SUPPORT TO THE
HEADQUARTERS ELEMENTS OF THE CORPS AVIATION GROUP,
TOE 01412A000 AND THE CORPS AVIATION BRIGADE, TOE
01402A000.

        (4)  UH-60 AIRCRAFT FOR AUGMENTATIVE EVACUATION
OF DOWNED AIRCRAFT WHEN REQUIRED BY METT-T OR THE
NONAVAILABILITY OF LOGISTICS SUPPORT AIRCRAFT.

        (5)  CONTINUOUS DAY AND NIGHT AVIATION OPERATIONS
DURING VISUAL AND MARGINAL WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LIMITED
AVIATION OPERATIONS DURING INSTRUMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS.

        (6)  UNIT LEVEL PERSONNEL SERVICE SUPPORT, INCLUDING
PERSONNEL, ADMINISTRATIVE, LEGAL, HEALTH, AND RELIGIOUS
SERVICES, FOR ALL ORGANIC OR ATTACHED UNITS.

        (7)  UNIT LEVEL LOGISTICAL SUPPORT, INCLUDING
SUPPLY, AUTOMOTIVE AND COMMUNICATIONS MAINTENANCE, AVIATION
UNIT MAINTENANCE (AVUM) FOR 32 ORGANIC UH-60 AIRCRAFT, AND
FOOD SERVICE, FOR ALL ORGANIC OR ATTACHED UNITS.

        (8)  MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY BOOKS FOR ALL ORGANIC
UNITS.

    B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE
FOR REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10
PERCENT FROM APPROXIMATELY 90 PERCENT FOR LEVEL 2 TO
APPROXIMATELY 80 PERCENT FOR LEVEL 3.

    C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION.

    D.  THE COLUMNS DESIGNATED BY LEVEL 1 THROUGH 3 ARE
DESIGNED TO RELATE TO THE CATEGORIES ESTABLISHED IN AR
220-1, UNIT STATUS REPORTING.

    E.  INDIVIDUALS OF THIS ORGANIZATION, EXCEPT THE
CHAPLAIN AND MEDICAL PERSONNEL, CAN ASSIST IN THE
COORDINATED DEFENSE OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

    F.  THIS UNIT PERFORMS UNIT MAINTENANCE ON ALL ORGANIC
EQUIPMENT EXCEPT MEDICAL AND COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY
(COMSEC) ITEMS.

    G.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT UPON:

        (1)  APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF THE CORPS OR THEATER
ARMY FOR LEGAL, FINANCE, AND LOGISTICAL SUPPORT, INCLUDING
SUPPLEMENTAL TRANSPORTATION.

        (2)  U.S. AIR FORCE WEATHER TEAM, CORPS AVIATION
GROUP, TOE 01412A000 FOR AIR WEATHER SERVICE SUPPORT
IN ACCORDANCE WITH AR 115-10/AFR 105-3 AND FM 34-81/AFM
105-4.

5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY II UNIT.

                   EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1.  PURPOSE.  The attached A-edition tables of organization
and equipment (TOEs) is required to complete a cyclic review
of 01436A000 and 01439A000.  These DTOEs document the
organizational structure, along with manpower and equipment
requirements, for a Combat Support Aviation Battalion
(Corps).

              e.  Major Changes.  Application of the new fuel
consumption rate to the Class III Section of SRC 01436A000
resulted in a 10 man increase of 77F in the base TOE and a
6 man increase in objective TOE.

2.  MISSION/CAPABILITIES/SECTION I.

    a.  Performs aerial transport of troops, supplies, and
equipment in the corps area of operations.

    b.  Provides augmentation of corps air ambulance
resources when required by medical authorities.  UH-60
aircraft for augmentative evacuation of downed aircraft
when required by METT-T or the nonavailability of logistics
support        aircraft.

    c.  Provides unit level personnel service and logistical
support        for all organic or attached units, including aviation
unit maintenance for all organic aircraft.

    d.  See the appropriate TOE Section I for a complete
list of        capabilities and limitations of these units.

3.  ASSIGNMENT.  Organic to the Corps Aviation Group,
TOE 01410A.

    b.  Force structure information for each TOE is based on

    c.  HQDA approved commodity consumption rates were used
in the development of these TOEs and are reflected in the
Cost Analysis Summaries.

    d.  The difference in cost is primarily due to the
modernization of equipment from the BTOE to the OTOE and the
application of new wartime fuel consumption rates.
