    Александр Скородумов родился в 1948 году в поселке Пено Тверской области. 

    Образование:

    • Ленинградское высшее общевойсковое командное училище
    • Военную академию имени Фрунзе
    • Военную академию Генерального штаба. 

    Служба:

    • В Вооруженных силах с 1966 года. 
    • Прошел различные служебные должности - от командира взвода до начальника штаба корпуса. 
    • В 1996 году назначен заместителем командующего войсками Забайкальского военного округа по боевой подготовке - начальником управления боевой подготовки. 
    • С сентября 1998 года - заместитель командующего войсками Забайкальского, 
    • Затем Сибирского военных округов. 
    • Участник боевых действий в Афганистане и на Северном Кавказе.

    Born on July 14, 1948 in the settlement of Peno, Kalinin (now Tver) Region. 

    Education: 

    • 1970 graduated cum laude the Leningrad Higher All-Arms Command School.
    • 1979 -- Frunze Military Academy 
    • 1994 General Staff Academy 

    Service:

    •  Joined the army in 1966.
    • 1970 - served as commander of a cadet platoon and company in the Volsk military school.
    • 1979 appointed head of division intelligence in the North Caucasian Military District. Subsequently promoted to chief of staff - deputy regiment commander and regiment commander in the same district. 
    • 1983-86 commanded a regiment in the Urals and Turkestan military districts. 
    • 1984-86 in Afghanistan, led a regiment in the Limited Group of Soviet Forces. 
    • 1986-89 commanded a division in the Turkestan MD. 
    • 1989 appointed head of the district center of training junior specialists for the tank troops of

    • the Transbaykal Military District.
    • 1994, appointed deputy corps commander in the North Caucasian Military District and was subsequently promoted to chief of staff - first deputy army corps commander in the district. He took part in the settlement of the conflict in the Chechen Republic.
    • September 1996 he was appointed deputy commander of the Transbaykal MD for combat training. 
    • August - November 1998 deputy commander of the district.
    • December 1998 appointed deputy commander of the Siberian Military District.
    • June 4, 2001 appointed Head of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces by presidential decree.
    • He was promoted to major and lieutenant-colonel ahead of schedule.
