National Security Presidential Memoranda [NSPMs]
Donald Trump Administration

In the Trump Administration, the directives that are used to promulgate Presidential decisions on national security matters are designated National Security Presidential Memoranda (NSPMs).

As a category, NSPMs replace both the Presidential Policy Directives (PPDs) and the Presidential Study Directives (PSDs) of the Obama Administration. However, previously issued directives from prior administrations remain in effect unless rescinded or superseded.
