Defense Courier Service earns Joint Meritorious Unit Award

Released: 2 Dec 1998

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFPN) -- The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has approved the Joint Meritorious Unit Award for members of Defense Courier Service in several areas for exceptional meritorious achievement.

The time frame for the award is Feb. 1, 1997, through Sept. 29, with eligibility limited to those U.S. military forces present at the time and who directly participated in the joint service or achievement for 30 days or more.
