Released: May 1, 1998

WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- An instructor at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, has been named Department of Defense General Intelligence Training System's 1997 Instructor of the Year.

He, along with a host of other officers, noncommissioned officers, airmen and civilians, also captured top honors in the Air Force Intelligence field's annual award program.

Tech. Sgt. John T. Hartman, 315th Training Squadron instructor at Goodfellow, received the DOD award. The General Intelligence Training System is the core element that binds service, unified command, Joint Chiefs of Staff and national agency general intelligence training interests.
