Information Operations Department
NSGA Pearl Harbor

The Information Operations Department is composed of approximately 60 personnel assigned to three divisions: Information Operations Exploit, Information Operations Protect, and Information Operations Training.

Info Ops - Exploit Division (N61)

N61 Division is the premier Direct Support (DIRSUP) Team in the Naval Security Group. NSGA Pearl Harbor has a long history of providing the finest cryptologic DIRSUP to the warfighter. N61 Division personnel deploy on board PACFLT subsurface units to support operational commanders and provide real time Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) in support of fleet and national level tasking. Additionally, members of the N61 DIRSUP team deploy as Battle Force Elint Analysts (BFEA).

Info Ops - Protect Division (N62)

We are the Information Operations, Protect Division. That means we are charged with protecting information within our command. This includes magnetic media, ADP systems and configuration, local and wide area computer networks, classified documents, telephone systems, and communications circuits. No small task!

We are a new division, still standing up, and will likely grow as more responsibilities are heaped upon us. Currently, there are five personnel who work in this dynamic division. Some of the numerous systems we are responsible for include: our COBWEB LAN, the command's telephones, and also coordinating the voyage into CyberSpace on the Internet. And these are just for starters......

Like CNSG, we are here to help...! Eventually, we hope to become a one stop shop; where you can find answers to all your questions regarding I.N.F.O.R.M.A.T.I.O.N. No matter what type. Feel free to call upon our knowledgeable team, any time, for any reason. Or just stop by and share some CyberTalk.

Info Ops - Training Division (N63)

N63 is the premiere Information Operations Training organization in the Pacific Fleet. The Cryptologic Readiness Group/Afloat Training Group mission of this division requires our instructors to continually refine their own cryptologic skills to ensure fleet students receive the best instruction possible. This unique and distinctive division is a prominent organization known for training excellence with a dynamic and innovative approach to cryptologic readiness in fleet instruction, afloat training, command communications, and as required, Direct Support operations.

Training division runs and fully supports an Outboard Simulator Exercise platform and operates an intensive cryptologic waterfront training program aimed at keeping Oahu-based ships aligned with training evolutions, capabilities, and proficiency parallel with that of Eastern/Western Pacific and Atlantic Fleet-based cryptologic units.

Training personnel deploy in support of tasking from higher authority and average approximately 100-120 days Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) per year. When not deployed or behind the podium, personnel are in a continuous training program preparing for future missions or conducting curriculum research and development .

The training division also advises and assists the command in administering the overall training program and performs certain Educational Services Office functions in coordination with PSD Pearl Harbor. This includes obtaining quotas for courses outside of the command, coordination for all aspects of advancement in rate examination cycles, and acting as a central point for grading, ordering, testing, and recording non-resident career courses.
