The FES/Supply Department is staffed with 50 enlisted personnel and one civilian. It is responsible for the installation, removal, maintenance and repair of Cryptologic Direct Support Element (CDSE) electronic equipment surface and subsurface combatants. Additionally, the department provides supply and logistics support to the command and all deployed personnel. The department is divided into three functionally integrated divisions: Fleet Installations, Equipment Maintenance, and Supply and Logistics.
The Fleet Installations Division consists of teams who conduct installations and removals of CDSE equipment on surface and subsurface combatants. From inception through mission completion, the division is responsible for all facets of planning, equipment selection, logistics coordination, installation, certification, and removal. Additionally, all personnel sent to sea for CDSE deployments come from this division.
The Equipment Maintenance Division is responsible for keeping all electronic equipment in peak operational condition through both preventive and corrective maintenance. The division administers the following: Naval Material Management System (NMMS), CASREP reporting, Maintenance Action Reports (MARS), 3M program, departmental training, and calibration services.
The Supply and Logistics Division executes the command's non-travel budget and is responsible for providing supply support for the entire command. Additionally, logistics support is provided to personnel deploying onboard Pacific Fleet combatants. The division also administers the Equipment Reporting, Registration, and Tracking System (ERRTS).
