Tai Lung is an environmental policy, data, and mapping leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing environmental protection, public health, and environmental justice through data. After serving as a Peace Corps Environmental Education volunteer, he joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where he worked in the Office of Environmental Justice until its closure in 2025. For more than a decade, Tai led EJScreen, EPA’s flagship environmental justice mapping and screening tool. He helped make complex environmental, demographic, and health data accessible and actionable for communities, researchers, and policymakers nationwide. Today, he serves as co-lead of the Environmental & Health Data Analysis Trust (EHDAT), a nonprofit organization advancing next-generation environmental and public health data infrastructure, screening tools, and cumulative impacts analytics. His work focuses on building open, transparent, and scientifically rigorous data systems that empower governments, researchers, community organizations, and the public with trusted information for environmental decision-making.
