Kristina Ishmael

Kristina Ishmael is a Fellow for the Day One Project focusing on education and workforce development. She is an educational consultant and senior research fellow for the Teaching, Learning, & Tech team at New America supporting educators, school systems, nonprofits, civil rights organizations, and other entities as they navigate the learning environments of today. Previously, she worked in the U.S. Department of Educations’ Office of Ed Tech, Nebraska Department of Education, and taught emerging bilingual students as an elementary teacher in Omaha, Nebraska. Ishmael holds an M.A. in Learning Technologies from Pepperdine University, M.S. in Reading and English as a Second Language from Concordia University of Nebraska, B.A. in Early Childhood Education & Elementary Education from Peru State College, and B.I.S. in Business and Mass Communications from Arizona State University.
