Pia Ulrich joined FAS in August 2013 as International Nuclear Policy Analyst. In this role, she contributes research and analysis on nuclear security and non-proliferation issues, as well as on nuclear energy. She also works on FAS outreach and networks with young professionals in the international security community to build up FAS’s nuclear policy network.
Pia is the Associate North America Liaison for the International Network of Emerging Nuclear Specialists, and served Dr. William Perry as an Advisory Board Member in the William J. Perry Project on Nuclear Weapons Disarmament. Prior to joining FAS, Pia was engaged in nuclear nonproliferation issues at the Partnership for Global Security, and earned a Master’s degree in Security Policy Studies from the George Washington University, and a degree in international and comparative law from the University of Osnabrueck (Germany).
