    b.  Purpose and authority for the preparation and revisions
of Table(s) of Organization and Equipment (TOE).

        (1)  This BTOE was developed replace parts of a highly
modified TOE 34418A100 for GUARDRAIL Common Sensor (GR/CS)
System 3 (Three).

       (2)  This version of the TOE has been prepared in accordance
with the provisions of current TOE development regulations and
guidance.

       (3)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE
have been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in
AR 220-1, Unit Status Reporting.  They have been reviewed to
ensure they are aligned at the paragraph level of detail.

       (4)  The unit MARC Code is 23A.  The unit is a combat
support unit that operates in the Theater Army area and does
not normally move after deployment.  It is considered a type
II Unit.

2.  EMPLOYMENT.  Aviation elements of this unit will deploy
to an instrumented all-weather day-night airfield in the
Theater Army or Corps rear area or to an acceptable civilian
airport.

3.  METHODS OF OPERATIONS AND FUNCTIONS.
