·        "Владимир Николаевич Зарицкий родился 15 июня 1948 г. в Житомирской области. Окончил Одесское артиллерийское училище им. М.В. Фрунзе и Военную артиллерийскую академию им. М.И. Калинина, затем Российскую академию государственной службы. Прошел все командные должности - от командира взвода до командира артиллерийского соединения. С 1987 по 1992 г. был начальником Коломенского высшего артиллерийского командного училища. С 1992 по 2001 г. - начальник Ракетных войск и артиллерии Московского военного округа. С 30 июля 2001 г. - начальник Ракетных войск и артиллерии Вооруженных сил Российской Федерации" (Nezavisimoye Voyennoye Obozreniye, 28 Nov 03).

[The Main Missile/Artillery Directorate  was directly  subordinate to the General Staff.  However, Minister of Defense Sergey Ivanov, ordered it resubordinated directly to Deputy Minister of Defense and CINC, Ground Troops, Col-Gen Nikolay Kormiltsev, "until the Main Command of the Russian Ground Troops is set up, which must be done by 1 December 2001."  (Interfax, 5 May 01). ]
