THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO INCORPORATE TES-F TRAINING INTO THE
EXISTING TENCAP DATA ANALYST COURSE (TDAC) AT THIS TIME.
8. MAINTENANCE CONCEPT:
a. TES-F WILL UTILIZE ARMY MAINTAINERS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT
POSSIBLE, USING BUILT-IN-TEST/BUILT-IN-TEST-EQUIPMENT (BIT/BITE) TO
FAULT DETECT AND FAULT ISOLATE. ORGANIZATIONAL (UL) AND DIRECT
SUPPORT (DS) MAINTENANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO FAULT ISOLATION AND
VERIFICATION, REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT, EVACUATION OF UNSERVICEABLES
TO DEPOT, AND/OR CONTRACTOR SUPPORT FACILITIES, AND THE ISSUANCE OF
FLOAT EQUIPMENT.
b. ADDITIONALLY, LIFE CYCLE CONTRACTOR LOGISTIC SUPPORT WILL BE
PROVIDED ONSITE FOR OVER-SHOULDER SUPERVISION AND ASSISTANCE FOR ALL
MAINTENANCE ACTIONS.
c. THE SUPPORT CONTRACTOR WILL ASSIST IN ALL LEVELS OF MAINTE-
NANCE AT NO COST TO THE UNITS.
d. THE PRIME MOVERS (M998 HMMWV, M1078 LMTV), AND CRYPTO-
GRAPHIC EQUIPMENT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ARMY UNIT AND
WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE REGULATIONS AND
LOCAL POLICY.
e. THE 4 NON-STANDARD COMPONENT GENERATORS WILL BE SUPPORTED
BY CONTRACT MAINTENANCE.
H. SPECIAL NOTES:
1. THIS ITEM IS APPROPRIATE FOR INCLUSION IN FORCE MANAGEMENT
BULLETIN BOARD (FMBB) "ABOI" DATABASE (FORMERLY AR 71-13).
2. THE ELECTRONIC WARFARE/INTERCEPT SYSTEMS REPAIRERS (33W4T)
ARE UTILIZED AS BOTH OPERATORS AND MAINTAINERS (AS THEY ARE WITH
THE MIES SYSTEM). THE COMPLEXITY OF THE TES-F SYSTEM REQUIRES
THIS HIGHLY TECHNICAL MOS, BOTH TO OPERATE SPECIFIC SYSTEM
FUNCTIONS, AS WELL AS TO PERFORM STANDARD 33W MAINTENANCE TASKS.
3. TES-F IS AN NDI CAT C SYSTEM USING COTS/CI EQUIPMENT AND
SELECTED ITEMS OF GFE TO BE INTEGRATED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO MEET
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TES OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT
(ORD) AND OF THE TACTICAL EXPLOITATION OF NATIONAL CAPAPBILITIES
SYSTEMS (TENCAP) MASTER PLAN.
4. REF PARA E. THE THREE COMPONENT 60 KW GENERATORS ARE TIED
TO A SINGLE 144KVA BREAKER WITH THE THIRD GENERATOR ACTING AS A
HOT SPARE. IN THE EVENT OF A COMMERCIAL POWER FAILURE, EACH
SHELTER PROVIDES 10 MINUTES OF POWER, VIA AN UPS, TO ALLOW THE
GENERATORS TIME TO AUTOMATICALLY START, STABILIZE, AND SWITCH
OVER. THE 30 KW GENERATOR IS AUXILLARY POWER FOR THE MIST ANTENNA.
