SENIOR SMART
SENIOR SMART was DOD's unified Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) system and advanced tactical architecture. TRW Systems Integration Group (SIG) the prime contractor for SENIOR SMART. In 1995 DARO restructured SENIOR SMART as directed by the Defense Airborne
Reconnaissance Steering Committee and began development of Joint Airborne SIGINT Architecture (JASA) standards (i.e., sensors, ground systems, data links, and platforms) provides for the overall migration of the airborne fleet (manned and unmanned) to and objective architecture to provide the mechanism required for timely dissemination of intelligence information to operational forces.
