OILSTOCK is a National Security Agency mapping service Geographic Information System that provides the capability to present and manipulate information in a geographical context. OILSTOCK allows analysts to select desired intelligence requirements from SIGINT sources and view data elements in text and graphic forms so that intelligence collection systems can be modeled against requirements. Functional capabilities of OILSTOCK include the ability to capture, store, edit, manipulate, retrieve, and display spatial data or geographically referenced data. OILSTOCK complies with NIMA and GIS industry data formats (i.e., DTED, DFAD, ARC ADRG), and provides rapid recall of relevant information, clutter/de-clutter (i.e., filter), icon control of maps and overlays, cartographic computations, interactive spatial operations, interface with decision support tools, and perspective three-dimensional maps.
