The AN/GYQ-21(V), Intelligence Data Handling System (IDHS) Contract provides total Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for commercial hardware and software sustainment for the multiple Services and Agencies world-wide. The AN/GYQ-21(V) CLS contract provides equipment maintenance, spare parts, on-site services, on-call services, deployed system support, equipment relocation, crisis support, and COTS hardware/software configuration management for DEC equipment. The maintenance of IDHS software is supported and managed in accordance with the Common User Baseline for the Intelligence Community configuration management plan. The CUBIC program provides the standard to which IDHS is developed and supported throughout its life cycle. CUBIC segments are developed in response to functional requirements stated by intelligence user organizations.
The Client Server Environment - System Services (CSE-SS) provides the security backbone for Intelligence Data Handling Systems (IDHS) throughout Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DoDIIS) sites, and will continue to provide a secure environment as the community transitions to the Defense Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE).
On 22 July 1996 PRC, Incorporated, McLean, Virginia, was awarded an $18,200,000 cost plus award fee contract to provide for software and engineering support, system development, configuration management, training and documentation and for the transition of the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Intelligence Data Handling System (IDHS), Offut Air Force Base, Nebraska, to an architecture consistent with the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System. The contract was expected to be completed July 2001.
On 01 May 1998 the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate awarded a five-year contract with the potential of $25 million to Sterling Software of Bellevue, Neb. Under terms of the agreement, "Virtual Application Tool Set for Intelligence (VATSI)," Sterling Software will assist in furthering the Intelligence Data Handling System (IDHS) efforts in support of the directorate's Information and Intelligence Exploitation Division. VATSI will help to sustain an architecture that is consistent with the Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DODIIS) community by enhancing applications, common application tools, database interfaces, network interfaces, and system environments. This contract will also assist integrating IDHS with other systems that are implemented or planned. The first task under this effort involves secure information dissemination support for IDHS. This task will address the need to electronically connect and facilitate the secure transfer of intelligence products between systems operating at dissimilar security classification levels in support of the Department of Defense information communications architecture.
The STRATCOM IDHS Operational Development for the 21st Century (SIOD - 2001) is an effort to support the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Intelligence Data Handling System (IDHS), at Offut AFB NE, transition to migration systems and architecture consistent with the Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DODIIS). The effort will maintain applications, common application tools, database, network interface, and system software of the USSTRATCOM IDHS systems, as baselined in the existing USSTRATCOM IDHS environment. The effort will also integrate USSTRATCOM IDHS with other system that are implemented or planned as nodes in the USSTRATCOM operational environment.
The IDHS Inventory Support System (I2S2) is a Government-owned system that provides the Government a tool for centrally tracking the hardware and COTS software. The maintenance of the inventory database is provided through Hardware/System Revision Services (H/SRS) and Software/System Revision Services (S/SRS). This service provides the means and resources to update and maintain the database, which is used to add, track and delete hardware and software. The inventory database is a part of every level of the logistics support program and is required for effective and efficient hardware maintenance, logistics support management, and logistics support to the SSLSM community. Contractor personnel are responsible for maintaining accurate up-to-date information in the inventory database concerning each item of equipment, device, or software for which they provide service under the terms of the logistics support contract.
