USIGS Information Exchange Requirements Matrix

50.1 Introduction

50.1.1 Purpose

The purpose of the USIGS Information Exchange Requirements Matrix (IERM) is to describe the transfer of data resulting from the execution of activities identified in the USIGS Activity Hierarchy.

50.1.2 Scope

The USIGS IERM identifies the data being transferred between a sending node and receiving node, the media via which the data is transferred, and the classification and caveats which may be assigned to the data. All activities identified in the USIGS Activity Hierarchy are included in the IERM. The following matrix encompasses the transfer of data resulting from the activities NIMA conducts in fulfilling its role of providing imagery, imagery intelligence, and geospatial information to the Imagery and Geospatial Community (IGC).

50.1.3 Applicability

The USIGS IERM is based on the USIGS Activity Hierarchy and is reflective of the data included in USIGS Activity Diagram. It provides output information to the USIGS Technical Reference Model, USIGS Element Interface Diagram, USIGS Element Interface Matrices, USIGS Performance Parameters, USIGS Network Topologies, USIGS System/Segment to Nodes Overlay, USIGS Logical Data Model, USIGS Data Dictionary, and USIGS Evolutionary Requirements Matrix, and influences the planning process, requirements process, acquisition process, resource management, and community interaction.

50.2 USIGS Information Exchange Requirements Matrix

Note: The IERMs below (50.2.1 and 50.2.2) each consist of several large HTML pages -- ~300KB --, and may take several minutes to download and display.

50.2.1 "As-Is"

50.2.2 "To-Be"
