WORKSHOPS! Register Now!! They are free and include a light lunch.
Chicago, Richmond, Portland and your city soon!
Each session starts with
How to play Immune Attack:
—–Installing it on your laptop (if you bring one with you).
—–How to play the game, YOU get hands on experience and guidance.
—–What the game is teaching at each point.
—–What general concepts in cell biology the game is teaching.
The second half will be a discussion:
How to use Immune Attack in classrooms.
—–Can IA be an introduction to cells and proteins?
—–Can IA be a reference, like physics teachers use baseballs and bats
to explain mechanics and “equal and opposite forces”, can biology
teachers refer to Immune Attack?
—–What kinds of support would be helpful for teachers to use Immune Attack?
These discussions will guide Immune Attack game design as well as development of materials for teachers to use as they integrate the game into their curriculum.
